Every mattress gets a 0–100 score based on five weighted factors: queen price (30%), trial period (20%), warranty length (15%), user rating (20%), and features like cooling, motion isolation, edge support, organic materials, and US manufacturing (15%). Lower price, longer trial, longer warranty, and more features all push the score up. The formula is identical for every product — no editorial weighting, no paid placement in the ranking.

Mattress Index is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense — the clearly labeled ad units you may see on the page. Shop links in the table point directly to each brand's own store. Neither advertisers nor brands influence rankings: the Value Score formula is applied identically to every product in the database.

Prices are reviewed and updated regularly. Each product row stores a last_updated date in our dataset. Mattress pricing is volatile — expect frequent sales, holiday discounts, and seasonal promos. Always confirm the final price on the retailer's site before checkout.
