Mattress Index helps you compare recorded specifications, understand manufacturer policies and plan a purchase. We do not claim to have slept on or laboratory-tested the mattresses in the catalog.

Two different kinds of dates

The 28-model imported catalog records prices and terms dated April 19, 2026. These are historical reference values, not live offers. We keep that date visible, including when a selected size has no recorded price. Some brand links lead to a homepage because the old product URL was unavailable.

Our trial-policy comparison is a separate set of manufacturer-page checks, dated October 28, 2026. Checking a brand’s policy does not verify a model’s price, stock or performance. We show source links, product and purchase-channel limits, and conflicts we find in the published guidance.

Comparison, without a universal winner

The current workbench defaults to brand name. You can sort by historical price or trial length, filter recorded attributes and compare up to three models. These orders are not recommendations. Firmness labels and preference tags come from the imported catalog and are not standardized measurements or proof of suitability.

Earlier versions displayed a formulaic Value Score: historical queen price contributed 40%, trial length 30% and warranty length 30%. It did not measure comfort, durability or return costs. The new public workbench removes that score because a weighted total can obscure differences that matter more to an individual buyer.

Our buying-tool calculations

The room-fit tool uses nominal US mattress dimensions, a user-specified frame allowance, and a bed centered across the room with its head at the wall. It calculates side and foot clearances; it does not place doors, furniture or delivery routes. A 24-inch planning flag is an editorial prompt, not a regulatory or accessibility standard.

The cost tool divides purchase, setup and disposal costs by the chosen use period and nights per year. It makes no durability prediction and excludes tax, finance charges, inflation and repairs. A warranty is not an expected useful life.

Structured data and funding

Our public markup describes the website, breadcrumbs and lists of historical references. We do not supply current offers, stock claims, invented aggregate reviews or review stars. Display ads are labeled separately from comparison controls and brand links.

Current brand links point to manufacturer websites. If tracked affiliate links are introduced, their commercial relationship will be disclosed. Advertisers do not buy an ordering position in the workbench.

Corrections and editorial review

Send the affected model, disputed field and primary-source URL through our correction form. We distinguish an accessible link from a verified specification. Automated buying articles use fetched manufacturer text, DeepSeek drafting and an independent OpenAI evidence check. Automated review is labeled on the article and is not a claim of human testing or human fact-checking. Missing sources, unresolved claims and failed checks prevent automatic publication. A daily source check does not imply a full catalog recheck; unchanged sources do not create a new article modification date.
